730 SERIES, 1959–1961

More options were offered on the five-plow 730. In some respects, the 730 was a larger version of the 630 Series, with four fuel options and three basic models: the row-crop, standard, and Hi-Crop.

Introduced late in the 720 Series, the diesel-engined version had the added alternative of direct electric starting instead of the V-4 starting engine. This method proved successful, particularly in warmer climes, and most diesel 730s were so equipped.

The last 730 shipped to a U.S. customer was 7328643 in June 1960, but export deliveries continued up to 7330358 in March 1961, at which time the tooling was shipped to the new plant in Rosario, Argentina.
